God's Gracious Gift

SALVATION- GOD’S FREE GIFT TO YOU

All you have to do to be saved from your sins is to trust Jesus Christ. He wants to come and live in your life. Basically the good news about Him is simple:

  1. God loves each of us and has a wonderful plan for our lives. John 10:10 Jesus tells us that He came to give us an abundant life--life to the fullest.

John 3:16 in the New Testament tells us that "God so loved the world." YOU are part of the world, so you can put your name in the verse. "God so loves ____ fill in the blank with your name!"

  2. Each of us have broken God's moral principles and the penalty for our rebellion is eternal death.

In the Old Testament the prophet Isaiah revealed our sinful condition with the words "All of us are like sheep. We have all gone our own way." Isaiah 53:6.

In the New Testament the Apostle Paul explained our sinful condition to the Romans when he wrote, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.

This is the bad news--that all of us have turned away from God and even our personal conscience reveals that we have not measured up to the standards of right and wrong inside our own hearts. But the good news is that God still loves us. In fact He loves us so much that He gave His most precious Son to completely deal with our sin problem.

  3. Jesus Christ's death on the cross completely pays the penalty that our sins deserved and His resurrection proves that God has accepted the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross of us.

The Prophet Isaiah went on to say after talking about our "going astray" that the Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah explains 800 years before Jesus came that God would sent a Messiah who would be the ultimate sacrifice for sin--a sacrifice that God the Father would completely accept.

The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrated His love towards us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Paul goes on and talks about how Christ's resurrection gives us a brand new spiritual life. He writes in Romans 5:10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

I would encourage you to get your bible and read chapter five of Romans. It reveals that Jesus'death completely paid the penalty for our sins and His resurrection proves that He has the power to giveus a new spiritual life.

  4. Each one of us must receive Jesus Christ, depend upon Him for eternal life, for our selves. John, the Apostle, says in John 1:12, "But as many as received Him to them He gave the power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on His name."

To know that you are saved from your sins, all you need to do is to admit to Jesus Christ that you have sinned, completely trust that His death on the cross paid for your sins, and believe He rose from the dead and has the power to give you a new life today. Talk to Him like you would talk to a friend and invite Him to come to live inside your life.

The moment you trust Him for your eternal salvation and ask Him to come and live in your life He promises to enter your life and to never leave it. You can bow your head while you read this and receive Jesus into your life. Jesus says in the last book of the New Testament "Listen, I am standing at your hearts door and I am knocking. If you (anyone), will hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and take up residence in his/her life. We will enjoy sweet fellowship together."

I pray you will receive Jesus Christ today.

Because of His grace,
